Health and Social Care
Health and Social Care and Child Development are crucial elements of both the Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 curriculum at Park Academy West London. The aim of the curriculum is to ensure all students experience and develop key life skills and knowledge. This will ensure they are equipped with the skills and attributes they need for future learning and entering the world of work. The curriculum provided continuous links to career opportunities and pathways, ensuring that students develop an understanding of how their learning can lead to a variety of career options. The underpinning values of both subjects is to develop student’s ability to show care, compassion and effective communication. Cultural Capital is a key part of the curriculum, which increases student participation and understanding of the subject content. Students will be provided with opportunities to put theory into practice.

R057: Health and well-being for child development – externally assessed exam (1 hour 15 minutes) (40%)
